I was listening to the "Out of Office" podcast with Apple's Larry Jackson . There was a part in the conversation where Larry spoke about being upset that Whitney did not get a Grammy nod so she stopping going to the Grammy voting meetings. I am by no means a Grammy voting expert, but since the Janet Jackson blackball bullshit, I paid attention to the behind-the-scenes stuff pertaining to the Grammys. Hip Hop media will lead to believe that old white men are making all the decisions, but that is not true. Many of those within HIp Hop and R&B just choose not to vote or participate unless they come together for a blackballing. Now, yes white men control overall when it comes to the big awards that everyone wants, but the rap and r&b categories we have more power and don't use it cause one vote didn't go our way. People also refused to listen to Jermaine Dupri when he offered a solution after Janet was done dirty.
